Club Membership


The WSGA provides a variety of services to its member clubs, their members and the general golfing community.  These services include:

Championships - Over 3 months of competition are provided by the WSGA Tournament Department including 13 State Championships, 21 qualifiers and 6 USGA qualifiers.  The Tournament Department also assists clubs with course marking and rules interpretations.

Handicap Service - The WSGA Eagle Software is promoted and supported by the WSGA Handicap Department.  Currently, there are over 400 Wisconsin clubs with over 60,000 individual members.

Course Rating & Measuring - The Course Rating Department is one of the busiest departments.  Each year, WSGA course raters measure and rate approximately 100 courses following the strict guidelines set forth by the United States Golf Association.  WSGA Course Raters attend yearly USGA Calibration Seminars to keep up-to-date with new procedures.

Junior Golf - The WSGA conducts a State Junior Boys Championship, the Father-Son Championship and funds through the WSGA Foundation the WIAA Boys and Girls State High School Championships.

Publications and Information - The Association offers Wisconsin Golfer magazine, schedules, entry forms, bulletins and other golf related literature.  The WSGA maintains a web site (www.wsga.org) for the convenience of golfers.

Rules of Golf Service - The WSGA conducts Rules of Golf seminars throughout the state for member clubs and individual groups.  The WSGA is also available to answer any rules disputes and/or questions the member clubs or 60,000 individuals may have.

Handicap Seminars - The WSGA offers Handicap Seminars to all member clubs/individuals and is available to answer any and all questions which may arise.

USGA P.J. Boatwright Internship - The WSGA offers a 12-week internship in cooperation with the USGA, which is designed as a comprehensive and extensive training experience to a qualified person in preparation for a career in golf administration.

USGA Liaison - The WSGA monitors national issues, processes reinstatements to amateur status, attends USGA/PGA Rules Workshops to provide as much knowledge and information to our member clubs and associate members as possible.

There are two different types of Club Memberships.  One are the clubs that have a golf course affiliation.  The annual dues for these clubs is $125.00.  The other are Clubs Without Real Estate (CWRE).  The yearly dues for these clubs is $50.00.  Membership forms are located in the About Us - WSGA Forms section.
